SurfSailing in Coney Island! Yes!!! Sailing in the surf! Training and fun!

This event starts at 11am on Saturday and goes until 9on Sunday. We will teach you how to sail one of our Hobiee bravos or a bigger cat if we decide to bring any or you can just borrow our boats if youre a good captain Already (but you have to demonstraterate competence first.)

We will sail in Coney Island creek Saturday (and camp optionally) and on auntday morning at 11am we will move our boats to the actual Coney Island beach for surf sailing! Yes we will be actually sailing in the surf. Hobie bravos are the best suited boats for this type of sailing. I will train anyone interested how to safely sail in the surf and waves on the ipem atlantic ocean or anywhere. Sunday Is also Gaby”s, one of our core group and pato members, 40th birthday party which is from 3pm to 7pm. We will put away the boats and clean up from 7pm for an hour or two.

No experiemce necessary but this is a members only event. You must join our club to go on this excursion. It is 75$/week or 400$/year. The year ends match 31. Club membership includes unlimited access to all of our boats (contingent on a safety checkout and small deposit of course) and admission to all of our weekly sailing events! Also members can bring a guest to any of our events for free (but the member must be at that event and memberships are non transferable.)

All the funds raised by membership fees goto building the wew.freesailingschool.org and this club either through purchasing/aquiring boats or business expenses. Please help us get more competant singlehanded sailboat captains on the New York City Waterways!
