Tier 1: Waterfall Paddle on Cresap Bay and Canyon Creek

Sorry about the short notice!

This is a new destination for me, but I have heard high praise for it, so let's explore. We will meet in the grassy area next to the boat ramp and the parking lot at 9:45, inflate the kayaks, and get on the water by 10:15. We will go to the left towards Yale Lake and admire a waterfall on the way. When we get to Canyon Creek, we will go upstream to see another waterfall 1/2 mile in. I estimate that we will be on the water between 2 and 3 hours. Let's bring a picnic lunch on the boats with us, and we can get out to eat if we find a suitable spot along the way. Otherwise we can have lunch when we return to the dock.

Hard shell kayaks, SUPs, and canoes are welcome. Please let me know if you don't have a kayak and need to borrow one.

What to bring:

• A kayak or SUP
• $4 for parking/launching fee (not sure about this or if credit cards are accepted; safer to bring cash)
• Personal Flotation Device (PFD) and whatever else you need to keep safe
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Water and snacks
• Sun protection
• Optional: Picnic lunch
