Tier1: Blues Festival from the water. Launching on Poets Beach

Details
This event is lead by one of our members Lori, who wanted to gather a group of people to hit the water and listen to music.
Kayak to the Blues Festival from Poet's beach! We will be behind the stage and most likely won't have a view! Here's the link to the event:

Parking is paid street parking or at a nearby parking garage; parking could be a couple blocks away. Last year, I parked right up front but maybe that was just lucky. Feel free to drop off your gear and then park. We will gather on the sidewalk at the top of the ramp to the launch/beach.
Meet at 3pm and launch around 3:30. We will paddle 1/2 mile from Poet's beach to the waterfront park just South of the Hawthorne bridge. It might be helpful to have some lines to tie our boats together. I have seen people bring little kayak anchors if anyone has one or can make one. We'll hang out amongst the boats and other paddlers. We may be able to go onto the beach to hang out or we could paddle to the Kevin Duckworth memorial dock to swim and picnic on the swimming dock if we want a break from sitting in our kayaks.
