Tier 1: Evening Paddle on the Tualatin River from Farmington Launch

Details
Let's gather around 6:00 PM in the parking lot of the Farmington Paddle Launch, inflate the kayaks, and hopefully hit the water before 6:30. We will go upstream for an hour, turn around, and finish with a downstream float back to the dock. We should be out of the water by 8:30 and all packed up before dark.
This portion of the river is quite different from the lower sections. It is much narrower, the current is stronger, and it is surrounded by farms on both sides, so it has a real wilderness feel to it. There are several logjams and fast-moving narrow sections that need to be navigated, which adds adventure and challenges one's kayaking skills. There is no ramp or dock, so getting into the kayak can be a tad difficult.
SUP's and hard-shell kayaks are welcome.
What to bring:
- A kayak or SUP
- Waterway Access Permit if your vessel is 10' or longer Info here
- Personal Flotation Device (PFD) and whatever else you need to keep safe
- Weather-appropriate clothing. Layers! It might get cool towards the end.
- Water and snacks
- Sun protection
