IMPORTANT: In the past several people's GPS took them to the wrong side of the river. Please make sure you come into the park from the south. If coming from I-5, take either exit 282A or 278 after crossing the river. If coming from 99W, take Rt 219 South from Newberg, then turn left (east) on Champoeg Rd NE.

Note: There is a $10 daily parking fee at the park unless you have an annual state park permit.

Let's gather around 10:30 AM in the grass between the parking area and the dock, inflate the kayaks, and hopefully hit the water before 11. We will go upstream for an hour, turn around, and finish with a downstream float back to the dock. We should be out of the water close to 1PM, and all dry and packed up just in time for an optional picnic lunch. Please bring extra food if you are comfortable sharing with others. We will try to grab some picnic tables, but just in case they are all taken you may want to bring a blanket or a folding chair.

If you would like to make a full day out of it, there is plenty to do in the park (like biking, walking, birdwatching, or disk golf), and its history is absolutely fascinating.
