UPDATE: Please contact Jack if you are having hard time RSVPing to this event. Some people have difficulties.

Perhaps it's the time to start to remember how it's done and shake off the winter rust.

Let's have an easy-ish 🤞 paddle on the day that's supposed to have a nice-ish weather. Current this time of year might be faster than in the Summer too. Hopefully you can paddle at 2.5+mph.

Marked Tier2 because of water temperature. This time of year kayaking is quite similar to how it is in the Summer, but the consequences of a capsize are way more serious. So please Know your skill level and have a contingency plan for that unlikely scenario.

Time: this Saturday at 11am we are gathering at the grass triangle in front of the ramp and hoping to be on the water by 11:30 am.

The plan: We might paddle around a bit or go straight to Hog island, have a picnic (pack your own lunch), maybe dance some, I might bring the speakers. Then paddling back.

What to bring:
- Watercraft and accessories (floor, seats, skeg, paddle, pump, PFD, towel)
- Picnic Lunch
- Water
- Sun protection?
- Water shoes (we will need to step into the water)

Need a kayak/spot in a kayak? Currently I have one spot open in my kayak, and generally we have extra kayaks to loan. Just message Jack with a request or any questions.

Please support our group: Please consider helping us run the group by making a small donation. All collected funds will be used for the annual Meetup fee and for purchases of loaner equipment. To donate, please give cash to the event host, or send it via Venmo to @JackBaikov (if it asks for last 4 digits of phone number, they are 7191). Thank you!

A quick reminder that Meet-up leaders are unpaid volunteers and claim no special expertise or knowledge. We will paddle as a group but ultimately you are responsible for your own experience, safety and decision-making.
