UPDATE: This could be a great time to take some pictures or even a video of this adventure for future promo material. If you want to help by taking pictures/video - please let Jack know. I'd be very happy.

We are back dancing on an island!
As we've done in the previous years - we are paddling to an island, turning on the music, dancing, swimming, picnicing and then paddling back in the dark using lights on our kayaks.

This time of year the flow of Columbia at this place is quite slow, but still it's a good idea to all stick together and be on the a more confident side of a paddler. Going back we should paddle as a group, with every vessel having lighting.

Location: After you enter Chinook Landing, park immediately after the pay booth (parking is $5).
We will gather at this spot: (copy/paste into google maps)

45.561552, -122.439130

I have some loaner kayaks and have a couple of extra lights I can lend to people.

Things to bring:
- Kayak/vessel and all that goes with it
- PFD
- Lights and ways to attach them to your vessel, headlight, flashlight
- Wear a bathing suit
- Change of clothes and towel
- Fun dancy disco clothes
- Snacks and water

If you need anything or have any questions - reach out to Jack

Please support our group: On these dance series events we are raising funds to pay off the speakers we purchased, which we haven't paid off yet. Suggested donation is $10.
To donate, please give cash to the event host, or send it via Venmo to @JackBaikov (if it asks for last 4 digits of phone number, they are 7191). Thank you!

A quick reminder that Meet-up leaders are unpaid volunteers and claim no special expertise or knowledge. We will paddle as a group but ultimately you are responsible for your own experience, safety and decision-making.
