(Two) Silent Concerts -- "In A Landscape"
Details
Two opportunities are coming up for an event, one on Saturday 2026-07-18 (gates 5p PT) and one on Sunday 2026-07-19 (gates 4:30p PT). Please see this description, and then please respond in the Rainbow Brains Slack workspace thread for the proper day. These will be similar to the park hangs but perhaps with less talking.
"In A Landscape" https://inalandscape.org/. I have been to five or six of these. The event is a classical piano concert in the outdoors. Perhaps you have been to a silent disco, where the sound is delivered via a special headset. This is a silent piano concert, and they are outdoors.
You put on the waayy comfortable over ear headset they give you, adjust the volume, and listen at the volume you like, while seeing the artist perform. You can cock one earpiece sideways and listen to your neighbor or the birds in one ear. These are held in parks or places like the Rose Garden, where you take your chair, blanket, cooler, whatever, and watch the show. You are encouraged to walk around and see the (sights, roses, whathaveyou), all while hearing the concert.
For two special songs, the performer invites audience members on "stage" to lie under the piano and "feel" the music.
Each concert is different. There are three here this year (with the last one being a fundraiser and costing more). They sell out and both have a low inventory warning on them. Buy your ticket ASAP. I can get you a community ticket for $0 to $15. If you need that, reach out to me. If you want a ticket and it says it is sold out, reach out to me. Also, let me know any challenges around accessibility.
Inside the Slack workspace, please notice the two threads: there will be one for the Saturday (Laurelhurst Park) and one for the Sunday (Rose Garden). Reply in the thread for the day you can attend. RSVP here if you're going to either one (even though this event lists the Saturday location).
Reach me in a private Meetup message if you have any challenges around Slack.
