Walking West Linn: Historic Willamette, Fields Bridge Park & Tualatin River

Details

DESCRIPTION: This moderately difficult walk (rolling hills) is replete with gorgeous river hugging and territorial view homes, paved walk along the Tualatin River, Fields Bridge Park, and then up to the ridge overlooking the park, which is home to the new Atheny Middle School. Lots to see and experience on this lovely walk.

COURTESY & NO SHOWS: If you register for a meetup and later discover that you are unable to attend, you must unregister AT LEAST 48 HOURS in advance of the meetup or a NO SHOW will result (regardless of circumstance). For consistency and fairness to all there are NO EXCEPTIONS. This policy adjustment enables members on the Wait List (and others who might like to hop on board) sufficient notice to attend. Membership in this group may be discontinued after multiple no-shows. Thanks for considering others and our time and effort in organizing these events!

REGISTRATION: Opens 4 weeks prior to event.

DISTANCE: 4+ miles.

ROUTE MAP: Coming soon.

PHOTO GALLERY: Coming soon.

PARKING: Free street parking in Historic Willamette, on Main Street, near Lark Coffee.

LAUNCH TIME: Please arrive by 9:30 a.m. for sign-in and intros. We'll head out at 10:00 a.m. sharp.

ATTIRE: Sturdy walking/running shoes, compact umbrella, and layered clothing appropriate for the weather. Plus, anything else you need to survive 3 hours stomping city sidewalks and reasonably well-maintained trails (water, energy bar, chapstick, lightweight backpack, adventurous spirit, great sense of humor, etc.).

FITNESS LEVEL: Expect a slightly slower 2-mile-an-hour (30-minute mile) pace for this rolling hill trek. This is definitely a Walk & Gawk immersive experience and we don't want to miss any of it.

GUESTS: Yes, of course, you may bring a guest. However, all participants must be registered. Thank you!

SAFETY & COMMUNITY: For safety and community, we require a legit photo, first and last name, email address, and neighborhood. If you aren't willing to be known, this is NOT the group for you. Thanks for helping us make these events open, engaging, and fun!

Appropriate walking shoes and caution are always advised. By attending this Women Who Walk event, you assume all risks and liabilities. Event coordinators do not assume any liability if an accident occurs. By registering for this event, you agree to these terms.
