What we're about
Upcoming events (4+)
UPDATE: VACCINATIONS are REQUIRED at this event. I can't speak for the bar, but if you want to play games with us you must be vaccinated. Thank you for considering the safety of your fellow human beings!
It's time for Thursday night games at the Lucky Labrador Brew Pub. We tend to start coagulating about 5:30 but often don't get started till six when a critical mass starts to form. Although people trickle in throughout the evening looking for open space at any new games starting up. Many people stay until the pub closes.
This has been an on-going event for many, many years and is only loosely affiliated with this site and thus **most people do not sign up on this site, but lots of people come every Thursday night. **
Anyone new who comes please feel free to approach people already playing or looking to begin a game. They'll be happy to tell you a little about what they're doing and how much longer their game will last.
We play many board games and card games at these events. We tend to play games on the difficult/complex side of things at this meetup though at any time you might find a light Euro has found space at a table. You just never know.
The Lucky Lab serves a wide variety of beers, sandwiches and snacks with many vegetarian options.
Hope to see you there! And you can bring as many guests as you want! :)
Please join us any time through the evening. It's ok if you arrive a little late.
Come learn and new game and meet new people, each Thursday evening.
Board games a plenty, feel free to brings some -- usually a couple of us do, and the Mox has a modest library.
We play mostly lighter and middle weight games -- from Sushi Go to Dune Imperium. But I have see everything from Mantis to Viticulture.
The Mox can be reached via Bus and Max, but if you drive parking can be a little random. But I think the Mox will validate for a couple hours.
We are now playing a D&D 5E game,
and we play EVERY Saturday,
but we also play other systems like Call of Cthulhu, Super Heroes, Cyber Tech Noir, and other home brews.
We play at my place at NW 21st & Flanders, contact me for exact address.
Or for any questions my email is [masked]
Call of Cthulhu is Lovecraftian Investigation -- and worse "Discovery!" -- at its finest.
Cyber Tech Noir is a near future game in 2069 where HyperNet Hacking and Euro-Chic Crime meets Back Ally Bargains and High Society Revenge.
Using an ultra simple house system, inspired by Cyber Punk, Disco Elysium, and Unknown Armies, and a few Futuristic Movies -- we have three characters whose worlds are about to collide!
Contact me for more details and Location.
We encourage people who have little to no experience with RPGs to give this a try. Veterans role-players are also very appreciated. :)
We try to keep the sessions episodic so you can jump in any time, or miss sessions -- and it's no big deal.
We are generally rules light, fun focused, letting your creativity shine from the dorky to the dramatic. All experience levels accommodated, and personal uniqueness is encouraged.
Other games we play run the gamut from Fantasy to Pulp, Super, Cyber, Space, and the occasional Cthulian Horror.
From Tolkien to Terminator, and Harry Potter to Heavy Metal.
Move mountains, shake worlds, enjoy a drink, and make friends as we share in Epic Sagas.
Join us to play a range from party games to middleweight to medium-heavy games. We have over 80 games, and our recurring gamers also bring dozens of games. We have lots of space to game, with eight gaming rooms containing 16 tables that seat between 4 to 8 players.
Come whenever you want; we are going till at least 1 am.
We encourage anyone to come by. This event is great for people who are new to board games; we have lots of people who can teach and show you around! If you need a break from the board games at any time, we also have foosball, darts, and karaoke starting around 11:30 pm :)
BEFORE THE EVENT
Join our active discord, where regulars and new attendees chat about the next event, side events, and a plethora of other fun topics. You can also use this to schedule games you want to play or arrange carpools
NAVIGATING GAME NIGHT
Please make a nametag when you arrive, and feel free to grab some food and a drink. Folks tend to gather and eat food for the first 30 minutes and games start around 4:30 pm. New games are generally starting every 20-30 minutes throughout the night.
You can ask in this discord channel if you have any questions during the event (including needing help finding a game to play/join). Additionally, the event hosts and regulars are always quick to help
Snacks, drinks, and some hot food are provided by the host. Attendees bring lots of snacks, so there is plenty to eat. We encourage attendees to bring their favorite foods to share
Feel free to bring games, especially ones you can teach
Join planned games on discord, or feel free just to show up and choose a game to play when you arrive; there are nearly one hundred games in the house to choose from. You can also see games other attendees bring, chat about your favorite games, and more on discord

As a newbie, I arrived nervous and scared because I didn't know anyone. however, you all made me feel accepted and comfortable, and I absolutely appreciate the crew that I got to sit with and play the first few games with. Thank you, Kia and Kyle, and I apologize I forgot your name, but you played an amazing wingspan game.
I am looking forward to the next game night in 2. Thanks again!
Thank you, Kevin and Alanna, for hosting game night. As always, it is lots of fun and the best way to end 2021! May you all have a blessed 2022! Thank you to Scott and Dan for playing Captain Sonar and Mansion of Madness games! It was lots of fun!:)
Thanks for hosting Kevin and Alanna. I had so much fun raising dinosaurs with Odin, Scott, and Albert.
Just wanted to say, Thank You to Kevin for hosting a great event all the time. Thank you to Alanna for organizing everything to make sure it runs smoothly. And Thank you to Steve and everyone who brought Scythe (Steve's set was the coolest, though, I will never get over those pieces.)
Thanks Kevin, for hosting again! I had a great time building forests and cities on Mars!
thank you Albert, for showing us Terraforming Mars; ironic that a possible meteorite landed nearby !!
