Please bring a writing utensil and a notebook to write in. I can supply notecards and pens if needed.
Let’s face it- we are all struggling in some way lately. Isolation is at an all time high and social connections are becoming less valued. Community and connections are more important now than ever- they are an essential part of this human experience.
As the weather gets warmer and we return to our outdoor events, let’s take some time to check in with one another and reflect on the current state of our world and society. We will first take some time to write about how we are feeling about the current state of affairs and how it is affecting us personally. Then, we will share what we wrote with the group and allow others the opportunity to share reflections on what we wrote. Everybody’s feelings are valid and will be accepted. There will be no judgements, as we are all struggling in our own ways right now but also in the same way, it may just look a little different person to person.
After our discussion, we will go on a nature walk at the adjacent Bradford Dam trail. It will be approximately 2-2.5 miles, some small inclines, and a moderate pace. Please be sure to bring water and proper clothing/shoes.
During our walk or when we return to the pavilions, we will do a group meditation. This meditation will focus on sending peace, love, and positive, uplifting energy out onto the collective. We will all sit in a circle on the grass, very close to one another. This provides grounding and unifying energy. If we are comfortable with it, we can physically touch knees or join hands with each other in the circle. This creates a very powerful closed circuit of energy from multiple souls that will amplify the energies we are intending to send out.
We hope you will make the decision to choose community, connection, and unity during these times. We are here for each other, unconditionally.
