Easy 7 miler along Mam Tor Ridge. New Members Welcome.

This is a lovely easy stroll along the Mam Tor Ridge from Castleton. New members are particularly welcome to come along to get to know others in the group and enjoy a wonderful walk.
This walk will be taken at a leisurely pace. It is an easy 7 miles long, with stops for breaks on the way. We will have lunch on the hill too so pack some sarnies, snacks and something to drink. We will be out about 4 hours.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead around livestock. There is usually a lot of sheep grazing on the ridge.
After the walk for anyone interested we will call in at The Bulls head pub which is near the car park, for further refreshments and chatting.
Meet from 9.45 outside the visitor centre in the main car park in Castleton. It is a pay and display. See directions. We will head off by 10 am and will not wait for anyone who is late I am afraid.
