WE DID THIS IN MARCH WITH GREAT FEEDBACK BUT HAVE TO LIMIT NUMBERS TO SATISFY PEAK PARK RULES SO AM GOING FOR A NEW DATE IN MAY FOR THOSE WHO MISSED OUT.

Our 30k + Challenge Walk series achieved quite a following in 2025 and this one has proved such a great start in 2026 that we are doing it again for those who missed out.

To be fair it is a LOT more than 30k maybe 38-39k depending on how you do certain sections so be prepared for a big day out

The nine edges are Derwent, Stanage, Upper Burbage, Lower Burbage, Froggatt, Curbar, Baslow, Gardoms and Birchen Edge.

The Peak District at it's most amazing.

We provide transport to get you to the start so that your own transport is waiting for you at the end! There is a toilet at the start and the chance for a quick coffee and bacon (or veggie) bap if needed.

As is usual on our Challenge Walk days we provide both printable routes and downloadable gpx tracks. We also offer complimentary use of Outdooractive 3 month trial copies for those currently without a competent mapping app on their phone and the necessary information to help you get up to speed with using this prior to the day.

There will be also be a strategically sited water and pastry stop en route!

There is a cafe and toilet spot with hot and cold food if needed about an hour on from that.

The organiser will be waiting to meet you at the end with your medallion and certificate. As we finish at a renowned Peak District pub there is also the possibility of stopping for food.

The overall ascent is 1000m.

There is a charge of £10pp which will go towards the cost of the transport.

There are no fixed rules about how it is to be done. Most will want to walk although fell runners are also welcome. Generally we have a single group or maybe a faster and a slower group but there is no pressure to stay with a group if some prefer to go at a pace to suit themselves.

Emergency transport is available if any participants get into problems on the day.

Lift sharing to the meet point is encouraged as parking is limited so please put a message below if you require or can offer a lift. If the meet point becomes full we can direct participants to an overflow car park not far away and we can pick you up from there.
