Classic Walk Up Soldiers Lump / Black Hill - 9 miles

Soldiers Lump / Black Hill is a well known meeting of paths location on the Pennine Way and the high point at Holme Moss where the road is frequently blocked by snow in winter. We shall take the quarry route up and return via the Pennine Way.

No snow to worry about at this time of year and hopefully with the long dry spell we have had a lot less boggy ground as well.

Dogs are welcome as long as not constantly barking and jumping up. Owners must keep dogs under control at all times and place on a lead when near farm animals or signs tell us to do so.
