Aira Force and Gowbarrow Fell Circular

Details
Anyone who is joining us for the walk on the Saturday (Hart Crag, Dove Crag etc) here is a short but well rewarding walk before we head back home.
A pleasant walk up through the forest, some of the trees are hundreds of years old. As we follow Aira Beck passing Aira Force and High Force before heading out onto the open fellside. Climbing steadily up to the summit of Gowbarrow Fell we will have fantastic views of Ullswater and the distance Pennines, as we carry on further on the path the views will fully open up to see the Ullswater in it's entirety by Yew Crag. The path here is like a Terrace and walking is a delight.
We then drop back down into the forest to reach our start point.
The Disclaimer!
We are a group of like-minded adults who share the same interest, the great outdoors.
Our leaders/event hosts are volunteers, they're there to guide groups on walks in the countryside, they're not responsible for each and every participant other than themselves.
It is expected that all participants to be fully responsible for themselves and their own safety, we do not employ first aiders or qualified walk leaders. Participants are also expected to attend every walk with suitable clothing, footwear and any other equipment, that includes waterproofs for wet weather and walking poles if you need them regularly. Enough food and drink for the day is also required.
