Bonsal Circular Walk
Details
Our walk starts in the hills 2 miles south-east of Matlock, Bonsall has a charming atmosphere all of its' own. In the sloping market square is the unusual 17th century cross, set on top of 13 circular stone steps. All around the village are fine looking houses and quaint cottages, some clinging to the sides of the dale. The ancient King's Head is a notable building in the Market Place, while the Barley Mow is another traditional pub worth finding. The fine church with its' tower, sits high up, overlooking the village. The surrounding area, especially on Bonsall Moor, is rich in old mine workings, reflecting the importance of lead to the area. Bonsall has also attracted much worldwide interest as a centre of paranormal activity, including many sightings of UFO's!

Our leaders/event hosts are volunteers, they're there to guide groups on walks in the countryside, they're not responsible for each and every participant other than themselves.
It is expected that all participants to be fully responsible for themselves and their own safety, we do not employ first aiders or qualified walk leaders.
