Alfreton Park, Oakerthope, South Wingfield & Pentrich Circular
Details
This 9 mile walk is a repeat of my first walk, It's a fantastic local walk, a walk not to be missed!, based in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside. It includes lots of historical interest, notably Wingfield Manor.
We will meet on the nearest postcode, DE55 7AL, parking in the layby on the road leading up to Parkwood Day Centre in Alfreton. From there we will head over the fields at Alfreton Park, before arriving in Oakerthorpe. From there we will head to South Wingfield, a village that's steeped in history, with the historic ruins of Wingfield Manor. We will then head back to Alfreton Park via Pentrich. This walk is relatively flat and comes with a grade of moderate. Weather conditions are changeable so waterproofs are advised. A packed lunch. We will have a 30 minute lunch stop roughly in the middle of the walk. Dogs can come along but will need to be kept on leads near livestock. It will be a slow paced walk, we won't be in a competition . So, come along and join me on the local walk in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

It is expected that all participants to be fully responsible for themselves and their own safety, we do not employ first aiders or qualified walk leaders. Participants are also expected to attend every walk with suitable clothing, footwear and any other equipment, that includes waterproofs for wet weather and walking poles if you need them regularly.
