Peak to Peak Cycling (P2P) is a community ride board for anyone to post a cycling ride or event.
Please designate start location, time, distance, pace, route, regroup opportunities, drop/no-drop and a link to a map on STRAVA is always helpful.
Peak to Peak Cycling is unable to offer our normal UFO's, parties and supports this summer, look for their return in 2020. We might pull off a Fall Fondo and Solstice Party in 2019....stay tuned!
Be sure to join us for the West Elk Bicycle Classic September 1st.
Post a ride or event anytime, and be safe out there...or as some amongst us like to say, "Be Sage" while cycling! Point out debris in the road, communicate with one another, do not use head phones, and practice safe and smart cycling.
P2PCOLORADO.COM, assumes no liability for the inherent risks of the sport of group cycling, as defined in Colorado law. Participants in events posted here do so at their own-risk.
Hey guys... Warm(er) weather is upon us!
The plan is to meet at Tom Watson Park at 11am and ride to Masonville via Carter Lake and back with bail out options along the way. I would like to keep the ride at a casual/ tempo pace with a few efforts thrown in for fun. Re-group options at the usual locations (Dam store at Carter/ Masonville general store/ gas station on 34).
Hope to see you there!
• What we'll do
About 100 miles and 7k of climbing. Or ride to the top and back for about 75 and 6k. Strava route here: https://www.strava.com/routes/8098129 Forecast is for sunny 63 degrees and light wind! We can stop at Howling Cow Cafe for refreshments and on the other side of Horsetooth time permitting. Join for all or part and get some climbing in!
• Bring layers as it can get cold at the top of Rist and on the descent
We are going to pre-ride the Boulder Roubaix race course. If you are riding in the race the following weekend, or just enjoy riding around on the dirt roads of Hygiene/Boulder, join us for a few laps of the track. I am planning on 2 laps.... the first at a casual pace to look at road conditions and route, and then one at your catagories race pace. We will ride together the first time around, and then regroup in Hygiene when finished if we get split apart. Park and start in Hygiene, which is the opposite corner of the actual race start line.
