About us

It all starts with YOU!
Peninsula LGBTQ+ Connect is just getting started, and every community begins one connection at a time. Our early gatherings may be small, but they’re meant to be welcoming, relaxed, and meaningful. As more of our neighbors connect with us, our circle of friends—and our events—will naturally grow.

Welcome to Peninsula LGBTQ+ Connect!
Peninsula LGBTQ+ Connect is a social community dedicated to fostering genuine, local friendships for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies living on the San Francisco Peninsula. While the city has its charms, you shouldn't have to cross a bridge or sit in 101 traffic to find your people. The heart of the community is right here in your own backyard.

What is our goal?

  • To bridge the gap between "neighbor" and "friend."
  • To create consistent, safe, and joyful spaces.

Whether you’ve lived on the Peninsula for decades or just moved here, you can find your “chosen family” close to home.

Who are we hoping to meet?
LGBTQ+ individuals and allies of all ages and backgrounds who value authenticity and kindness. If you are…

  • looking to expand your local social circle,
  • an ally who wants to support and celebrate the community,
  • someone who prefers the relaxed, scenic vibe of the Peninsula to the hectic city scene,
  • new to the area and looking for a starting point,

…then you belong here!

What will we do at our events?
Connection happens best through a variety of experiences. Our calendar aims to offer something for everyone, including:

  • Social Mixers: Casual happy hours at local breweries or coffee shop takeovers.
  • Outdoor Adventures: Weekend hikes through the Redwoods or walks along the Bay Trail.
  • Activity Nights: Game nights, bowling, or local trivia.
  • Connect Tables: Smaller, "get-to-know-you" dinners at Peninsula restaurants.

Our events are member-driven. Any member can plan and host—whether it’s a neighborhood bistro meetup, a favorite hike with friends, or a game night at home. If you’ve got an idea, you’ve got the green light.
