Making Upma, Appam, and Uthappam
Hosted by Peninsula Vegans
Details
We will make 3 South Indian dishes.
Upma is bulgur wheat with onions, tomatoes
several other vegetables, and spices, of course.
Appam is a bowl shaped thin pancake made
from fermented rice batter.
Uthappam is a thick dosa (urad dal and rice batter)
topped with onions, chilis, or peas.
At the end of the cooking class there will be
a test to see if you can pronounce these 3 names!
Bring some other vegan side dish or something to drink.
Please bring your own plates and utensils.
