Lunch at Pensacola Smokehouse / UWF Historic Trust Block Party

The UWF Historic Trust will host a block party on the plaza in front of the Bowden Building in downtown Pensacola (behind the Pensacola Historical Museum). The time is 10 am to 4 pm, but I'm suggesting we meet for lunch at noon. The event includes food trucks, games and activities for children (or adults acting like children), and living history exhibits.

Because I'm always skeptical of food trucks, I'm suggesting we meet for lunch at Pensacola Smokehouse at 232 E. Main Street (the old South Market location). That's about a block east of the plaza.

The Pensacola Smokehouse offers traditional barbecue meats such as pork, chicken, brisket, and ribs, along with an extensive assortment of wines and beers. The dessert list includes mud pie, apple or peach cobbler, and their proprietary banana pudding cheesecake.
