Welcome back to People Sketchers, which is now WVAG's People Sketchers! Artists of all skill levels are invited to join us and draw or paint from live nude figure models, with multiple poses ranging from 2 to 20 minutes each. Artist benches are available; bring your own media. We have music and coffee, too.
We're excited to announce that we're now part of the Westlake Village Art Guild, so our workshop, which has been part of the Conejo Valley for over 34 years, will remain a non-profit organization and 100% of the revenue will go to support our art community. We're a drop-in group, so you're welcome to stop in once or make it your regular Thursday affair – whatever works best for you! We meet in the city's large, beautiful, mirrored ballet studio with hardwood floors and a model stage with a warm spotlight.
Although this is an uninstructed workshop, when you draw with us, you can ask questions and learn trade secrets from some of the best artists in town, including painters, sculptors, animators, illustrators and art historians. You never know who might show up on any given Thursday!
Because we feature nude models, attendees must be 18 or older. Please note: 16-year-olds may attend with written permission and a pre-workshop discussion between the Program Director and the parent or guardian.
We meet up every Thursday from 10 am to 1 pm, except major holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year's.
Only $20; no reservations needed!
