What we’re about

People Sketching. Drawing and sketching people as they come and go in a public area. "Dance at the Moulin de la Galette" by Renoir. This is for artists who can be inspired by real life, the various humorous types of people. At each event I shall be working on an A3 sketch-pad, using a variety of materials.

At 12:00pm I shall be seated in the West Princes Street Gardens between the Ross Open Air Theatre and the Mound, close to the "Baby Elephant". I will be working on an A3 sketch-pad so I should be conspicuous.

Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Edinburgh
The Botanics, as it is known locally, was established in 1670. Within the gardens there is a permanent sculpture exhibition showing work by Andy Goldsworthy and Barbara Hepworth.
At 12:00pm I shall be seated outside Inverleith House, facing the city. I will be working on an A3 sketch-pad so I should be conspicuous.

Femme and Personnage by Joan Miro, Reclining Figure by Henry Moore, Roman Standard by Tracey Emin and a Conversation with Magic Stones by Barbara Hepworth. At 12:00pm I shall be seated outside the entrance of the Gallery facing the Sculpture Garden.

Greek and Roman Antiquities: Hercules and Antaeus, Ganymede and the eagle, Juno and the peacock and the abduction of Proserpina.
At 12:00pm I shall be seated on Level 5 (Traditions in Sculpture). I will be working on an A3 sketch-pad so I should be conspicuous.
