Cost: Discounted admission during August Dollar Days. General admission is just $3 per person (normally $20 per adult) and parking is discounted to $6 (normally $15). Tickets must be reserved in advance.

Your RSVP is only for our walking tour - you still need to acquire your own arboretum admission ticket via the link above.Weather: Our walk will take place light rain or shine; if it’s on our calendar then we’re proceeding as planned.
Parking: Use the "Main Parking Lot" and Gate 1 off of Garland Road. Please arrive on site early so that you have plenty of time to find parking and walk to our meeting point.
Before the Event: Socializing at the Arboretum entrance from 9:00 to 9:15 am.
Meeting Point: 9:00 am at the “Main Entrance” of the Dallas Arboretum: 8525 Garland Road - Dallas. Look for your hosts Robert (wearing a fedora-style hat) and Michele along with a group of friendly people. We’ll depart for our walk at 9:15 am.
Icebreaker Introductions: We should have a good-sized group and so instead of everyone introducing themselves to the group we will get to know each other by distributing blank stickers and colored markers and we’ll ask everyone to write down on their sticker: 1). first name. 2). favorite food. 3). dream vacation. Example: “Michele - Strawberries - Kenya” or “Robert - Chocolate - Tokyo”.
Walking Distance: approximately 1.5 - 2 miles over approximately an hour and a half.
After the Event: To-be-determined. Lunch?

Meeting Point: Inside of the entrance to the Kahn Building (not the Piano Pavilion) of the Kimbell Art Museum: 3333 Camp Bowie Boulevard - Fort Worth.It’s Friday night, Robert & Michele invite you to a meetup at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth for a FREE guided tour of their amazing art collection.
Our tour will focus on the European collection, which includes works by: Michelangelo, El Greco, Caravaggio, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Goya, Vigée Le Brun, Turner, Delacroix, Manet, Cezanne, Monet, Matisse, and many more.
Please note that we won’t be touring the special exhibit “Art & War in the Renaissance: The Battle of Pavia Tapestries”, as that’s a separate event that requires a paid admission.***
The Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, hosts an art collection as well as traveling art exhibitions, educational programs and an extensive research library. Its initial artwork came from the private collection of Kay and Velma Kimbell, who also provided funds for a new building to house it.
The building was designed by architect Louis I. Kahn and is widely recognized as one of the most significant works of architecture of recent times. It is especially noted for the wash of silvery natural light across its vaulted gallery ceilings.Museum Links:
