Speaker Bio: Alex Brown is a Staff Data Engineer at Bankwest with 12 years of experience, including seven in data engineering. His current focus is on building Bankwest’s new cloud data platform, driving scalability and modernisation.

Speaker Bio: Peter Hanssens is the Founder of DataEngBytes and Principal Consultant at Cloud Shuttle. With extensive experience in data engineering and architecture, Peter started his journey by creating a small data engineering meetup that evolved into DataEngBytes—now the largest independent conference for Data and ML engineers in Oceania. His passion for community building and knowledge sharing has been instrumental in growing the data engineering community across Australia and New Zealand. Peter specialises in modern data stack implementation, including technologies like Mage for orchestration and Apache Iceberg for table formats, helping organisations achieve significant performance improvements and cost savings in their data platforms.
