A synopsis and trailer can be found here.
How to Watch
The Revival House in Como will be screening the movie at 7:15pm on Saturday, 14th November. As we won't be meeting on Friday, 13th November, I’ve posted an event in the Movie and Dinner Group for those interested in getting together for dinner and going to see it. Details of this event can be found here.
Alternatively, the movie can be streamed for free by those who subscribe to Paramount+, Stan and Foxtel Now. For those who don’t, it can be streamed for free here. If it won't stream, try downloading it first. If that doesn't work, it can be rented for $3.99 on Youtube.
For those who've already seen the movie, I suggest watching it again as memories are unreliable and opinions change. Rewatching the film is not however necessary to attend the meeting or comment on it below if your thoughts are clear.
Meeting
As always, I’ll be getting to the venue just before 6:00pm to sort out my food and drink and welcome everyone who wishes to do the same. For those who do, it's a great way to get to know other members and share what other movies are being watched.
At 6:45pm, Dave will look to give a brief rundown of upcoming films and the scores from last week ahead of everyone scoring this week's film and breaking up into small groups to discuss it. Around 8:30pm we'll rejoin to share our take aways and try to answer any remaining questions with the aim of being finished by 9:15pm. Rules of conduct for these discussions are set out here.
Having the entire inside of the venue to ourselves, it'll stay open whilst we continue patronage so there'll be more time to continue socialising after the event for those who wish to. I usually have a sit down drink at the end and am happy to be joined for it. 🥃
Scores
A summary of the group’s scores will be posted in the Discussion section of the group's home page on the Monday after the event. Given the first thing in the summary will be a comparison of our score to that on IMDB, please try to avoid seeing that score ahead of landing on yours so as not to be biased.
For those able to watch the movie but not make the meeting, I encourage you to do so and post your score in the Comment section below before the Monday after the event. It’s a great way to still share your thoughts on the movie and gain from those of others.
All scores in whatever way presented count towards the awards that'll be presented at the end of year event. 🏆🥳
Final Words
As always, I look forward to catching up with everyone I've met so far and welcoming anyone joining us for the first time. 👋
