Looking to enjoy the vibrant arts and social scene in Perth? Join our Meetup group for dining out, wine tastings, movie nights, gallery visits, cultural activities, and more. Whether you're a film lover, bookworm, art enthusiast, or simply looking to meet like-minded individuals, our group offers something for everyone. From exploring the fine arts at galleries to indulging in dinner, theatres and tea socials, we have a variety of events to suit your interests. Join us for a mix of day and night outings that celebrate culture, ethnicity, and the arts in Perth.
If you RSVP 'going' and are unable to attend, please update your RSVP and send a message to the host to let them know that your plans have changed and you will be unable to attend. Please don't RSVP 'going' and then not show up; it's not fair to the host and the group. No shows will result in removal from the group.
Please feel free to suggest events for the group. I'm keen on low-cost or free events to maximise participation, as there's a cost-of-living crisis.

Scarborough to Mettams Pool Coastal Footpath Walk & Optional Dinner
Peters by the Sea, Address: 128 The Esplanade, Scarborough WA 6019, Perth, AUON EVERY MONDAY EVENING:
Meeting at 6.15pm Sharp outside the Peter's By The Sea Greek Restaurant (50 metres north of Rendezvous Observation City Hotel) in Scarborough on the Scarborough cappuccino strip, next to the car park on the sea side of Rendezvous Observation City Hotel. Start walking at 6.30pm Sharp on the footpath north to Mettams Pool & return to Scarborough for optional Dinner/Drinks/Coffees.
Please park 100 metres north of the Restaurant in front of Observation Rise Apartments.
Distance = 3km each way = 6kms total.
Walk will be at an Easy pace. Please wear good walking shoes & bring water, jacket & torch.
Walk is still on if raining - if so, Please bring rain coat.
Several other walkers from my other walking club will also be joining us.
Cost: Absolutely FREE to all. All welcome.

For our September book club, we’ll be discussing Cameron Crowe’s recently released memoir, The Uncool.
Before becoming an acclaimed filmmaker, Crowe was a teenage rock ’n’ roll journalist for Rolling Stone.His remarkable experiences touring with and interviewing some of the biggest musicians of the 1970s later inspired his Oscar-winning film, Almost Famous.
Crowe also wrote and directed films including Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, Elizabethtown and Say Anything.
Published in October 2025, The Uncool explores Crowe’s extraordinary journey through music, journalism, filmmaking and the people who shaped his life.Let’s read what he has to say and come together to discuss it!
