A Humanist Perspective on Geopolitics
Details
In November Richard Wilkins invites us to consider a Humanist perspective on geopolitics:
A humanist perspective on geopolitics shifts the focus away from pure power struggles, territorial competition, or zero-sum national interests, and instead places the dignity, well-being, and agency of human beings at the center of analysis and policy. It’s less about “who controls what land or resources” and more about “how political structures, borders, and global relations affect people’s lives.”
Richard will present a short talk on these themes before leading us into a group discussion of the topic.
As usual the main topic will be followed by hot beverages, yummy biscuits and some friendly chat. We hope you can join us.
