Discussion group – Why did you decide to become a Humanist?

For our July meeting we will be hosting a discussion group where we would like to hear how, when, where and why you decided to become a Humanist? Was there a particular moment of “revelation” or was it a gradual process of curiosity and exploration? Were there certain values that lead you to becoming a Humanist, or was there a particular person who inspired you? We would love you to share your story with us, if you feel comfortable to do so, or you can just come and listen to others’ experiences.
We will also be fixing the date for our annual barbeque in August, and deciding which book we will be reading for our book group in September (details of the choices to follow shortly).
We meet on Thursday 9th July at 19:30hrs at the Copeland Community Centre (38 Copeland, Peterborough PE3 6YJ). As ever there will be plenty of hot beverages, delicious biscuits and friendly chat. We hope you can join us.
