What we’re about

The purpose of this group is to create a safe and supportive atmosphere for members of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies where we can share, listen, learn, and grow.

PFLAG Oklahoma City’s core function includes monthly support groups and advocacy for all associated with the LGBTQ+ community. Our meetings and events may include guest speakers, education and developmental trainings, social hangouts, film screenings, and more. We also host local social events and programs.

WHO:
All are welcome! Anyone associated with the LGBTQ+ community looking for support are invited to attend, including but not limited to:
-Caregivers and family of LGBTQ+ children trying to support while navigating unfamiliar terrain
-LGBTQ+ community members looking for their chosen family
-Adults questioning or coming out later in life
-Allies looking to connect with others who support the LGBTQ+ community

WHEN:
Our in-person support group meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:45 PM – 8:00 PM.

WHERE:
Please join our Facebook group (@AllAreWelcomeOKC) for access to the event location in Oklahoma City, or e-mail us directly at info@pflagoklahomacity.org.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
The first 15-30 minutes of each meeting are dedicated to socializing and introductions among attendees who wish to participate. This is typically followed by announcements regarding current LGBTQ+ issues or events in the community. The meeting will then be facilitated to generate conversation on the discussion topic of the day and any LGBTQ+ personal news or stories attendees might have to share.
