About us

Come join our talking circle!

This group is for gay, bi, trans, queer and questioning men in Pittsburgh interested in connecting to others and building community through "subject-SUBJECT consciousness". Every two weeks we meet in a circle and chat about a chosen topic. Each circle is structured such that everyone, introverts and extroverts, get a chance to express and listen to others.

More on Heart/Talking Circles:

Heart Circles, also known as talking, peace-making or healing circles, originate from various Native American communities. In a circle, members discuss a problem, a question or a theme, with a focus on listening, understanding and connecting with others. Due to its connecting properties, people use circles for checking-in, support/therapy groups, restorative justice, conflict resolution, and even for event/logistics planning.

The Radical Faeries, a movement started by a gay activist named Harry Hay in the 1970s, have adopted heart/talking circles into their own practice. PGH Men's Heart Circles builds on this tradition.
