We live in a world that demands constant performance—at work, at home, in every aspect of life. Leaders, business owners, parents, and caregivers are expected to handle everything without slowing down, but what happens when the weight becomes too much? The Crisis No One Talks About is the silent breakdown—the slow erosion of health, relationships, and personal well-being that happens when we push too hard for too long. This talk confronts the reality of carrying too much responsibility and challenges audiences to recognize the warning signs before they collapse.
Key Takeaways:- Recognizing the Signs – How to identify the hidden physical, emotional, and mental costs of unrelenting responsibility.
- Reframing Leadership – Why true leadership isn’t about self-sacrifice, but sustainability.
- Breaking the "Buck Stops Here" Mentality – How to delegate, ask for help, and set boundaries without guilt.
- Prioritizing Longevity – Small, actionable changes to avoid burnout and protect what truly matters.
- Making the Hard Choice – A call to action to stop waiting until it’s too late and take control of your well-being now.
This talk is a wake-up call—a raw and honest conversation about what happens when we neglect ourselves for too long and how to change course before it’s too late.

Register for Zoom https://greatcareers.org/events-calendar/neuro-spicy-success-systems-that-support-your-professional-resilience/
Neurodivergent professionals have unique strengths and challenges. These impact your professional journey as your goals become longer term and more complex. Strengths associated with being neuro-spicy may include creativity, innovation, hyperfocus and strong problem-solving skills. Challenges are also unique, there may be trouble keeping track of project details, time blindness, variable energy levels, sensory overwhelm or some other neuro-quirkiness. In addition, you are intersecting with people and organizations that may, or may not, be neuro-aware or neuro-inclusive. There is a high risk of professional burnout.
Together we will:
- Explore what it means to be neurodivergent and how it impacts long-term goal attainment.
- Identify a range of personal and external systems that support professional success.
- Discuss self-advocacy techniques to support professional resilience.
Neurodiversity, like all other kinds of human diversity, is part of what makes life interesting. In this interactive workshop we will explore systems for success that support professionals who are neurodivergent.
