Live Maidenfire Ritual - Philadelphia Sunday May 11, 2025, 2 PM

Join us live in Philadelphia for the Dianic Wiccan celebration of Maidenfire on Sunday, May 11, 2025, 2-4-PM. There is no cost for participation. Location will be given once you confirm. This is a female-only friendship gathering for seasonal sacred ritual.

Within the Dianic Women's Wheel of the Year, this holy day marks the flowering of the Spring Maiden as she experiences her first menstrual bloods, the blossoming of fertility, and is initiated into the Mysteries of Womanhood. The Maiden is awakened to her passions and creativity and more consciously begins her journey to awakening and experiencing the full range of her Sacred Self and all of her potential.

Note that traditionally in Neo-Paganism, the fertility of the Goddess at this time of year is celebrated in reference to a male consort. In the Dianic Wiccan Tradition, the Blossoming One is celebrated as the Virgin, as One-Within-Herself, only becoming Mother as She transforms in Summer. In Maytime, we honor the Goddess as independent, unconquerable, sovereign and by extension, not psychically colonized and dominated by patriarchy and the male gaze.
