Live Fall Equinox Mabon Ritual, Sunday 9/21/2025 2-4 PM

Philadelphia Dianic Witchcraft welcomes you to our live Autumn Equinox Ritual in Philadelphia, Sunday 9/21/2025 2-4 PM. At Autumn Equinox, known as Mabon, light and darkness are once again balanced with equal lengths of day and night. We prepare for darkening days, the veil between the worlds thinning, and our turning within. We honor the descent of the Maiden Goddess Persephone to the Underworld where she becomes Queen. In the Dianic tradition, this descent is voluntary, much like that of the Mesopotamian goddess Inanna who descends to meet her sister, Ereshkigal, Queen of the Great Below. For most of us who have grown up within authoritarian family structures, or at the very least a collective masculinist authority on all that woman should and should not be, feel, do, this descent may mean for us an encounter with Goddess as our primordial, truth-bearing reality. This is also a time of celebration and gratitude for our personal and community harvests and all who helped us bring our work to fruition - friends, community, loved ones and our teachers.
