Imbolc - Dianic Celebration of Brigid, Saturday 2/14/2026 2-4PM
Details
Join us on Saturday , February 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM in Philadelphia for celebration of Brigid.
The holy day is known as Imbolc is the wider Pagan community, meaning "in the belly," a reference to what was conceived at Winter Solstice and is now stirring in the womb of Goddess. Brigid is the sovereign goddess of Ireland and by history had a strong following among women in female only groups. Today, the holy day is celebrated as the holiest of women's mysteries - the power of Goddess to take countless forms and eternally renew Herself. Brigid is goddess of poetry, divination, sacred wells, healing and smithcraft. Wiccan initiation traditionally happens on this holy day, and rededication of our vows and aspirations for the coming year. This celebration will include traditional casting and invocations, poetry, meditation, time for reflection and personal dedications. Please bring a white candle in a holder, and a strip of white cloth (AKA clootie) on which we will inscribe spells and prayers for healing. Please confirm via this app or by emailing philadelphiadianicwitchcraft@gmail.com. This is a free event for women only.
In Her Service,
Julia
