Rescheduled: Stoic Founder's Series Session 2

Are you interested in learning more about Stoicism and philosophy? Join Philadelphia Stoa for an exploration and discussion of the works of Epictetus. For our reference book, our group will be using "Epictetus, The complete works", translated and edited by Robin Waterfield, a highly acclaimed and accessible text. No past experience with philosophy is required, all earnest seekers welcome.

In this session, we will cover the Handbook, or Encheiridion, pages 45-66 in the Waterfield text. Group members are asked to read this section in preparation for our meeting. Members are also encouraged to read the introduction, pages 1-41, much valuable context is provided therein. Optional lunch will follow discussion.
