Are you interested in learning more about Stoicism and philosophy? Join Philadelphia Stoa for an exploration and discussion of the works of Epictetus. In this session, we will be covering the first book of Epictetus’ Discourses, with an emphasis on chapter 1.12: On Contentment.

For our referencence text, the group is using:
Epictetus - The Complete Works, edited and translated by Robin Waterfield. It is a highly acclaimed and accessible text. In preparation for the meeting, group members are asked to read pgs. 71-138.
