Stoic Founders Series Session 6: The Discourses of Epictetus - Book 2

Are you interested in learning more about Stoicism and philosophy? Join Philadelphia Stoa for an exploration and discussion of the works of Epictetus. In this session, we will be covering the second book of Epictetus’ Discourses. The session will begin with a short presentation, followed by a discussion of selected readings from Book 2 of the Discourses.

For our reference text, the group is using:
Epictetus - The Complete Works, edited and translated by Robin Waterfield. In preparation for the meeting, group members are asked to read pgs. 139-211.
Optional Lunch will follow discussion.
