Join us for a special gathering hosted by Philadelphia Ethical Society, Philly Stoa, Greater Philadelphia Thinking Society, and Philadelphia Philosophy Meetup for a morning of reflection, creativity, and philosophical conversation on one of life’s most universal experiences: death.

Through art, music, and shared dialogue, we will explore how the awareness of mortality can deepen our capacity for compassion, gratitude, and connection. This gathering brings together artists, philosophers, and community members to reflect on what it means to live ethically and meaningfully in the face of impermanence.

Featured participants include Cesar Viveros and Ñuuxakun Folklórico Mexicano, who will bring vibrant cultural expression to our meditation on remembrance, along with Paige Niezelski, Joe Bullock, and other special guests offering philosophical and artistic reflections on life, love, and loss.

Rooted in Ethical Culture’s humanist tradition, this program invites us to find beauty in transience and to affirm the moral and creative potential of every moment. Following the main program, participants are encouraged to join small group discussions to continue the conversation, share personal insights, and build community in an atmosphere of openness and respect.

Come as you are, curious, reflective, and ready to engage in this shared exploration of what it means to live fully and ethically.
