About the Talk:
James Shore wants to help you master the art of Agile development. In the new edition of his book, The Art of Agile Development, he writes:

"Agile development, like any team-based approach to software development, is a fundamentally human art, subject to the vagaries of individuals and their interactions. To master Agile development, you must learn to evaluate myriad possibilities, moment to moment, and intuitively pick the best course of action.

“How can you possibly learn such a difficult art? Practice!”

In this session, James will read excerpts from the book, then open up the floor for questions and conversation regarding all aspects of Agile. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss what “Agile” means to you, how that might align with your organization, and what it looks like when it’s at its best.

James Shore has been leading teams in practicing Agile development since 1999. He combines a deep understanding of Agile ideas with decades of in-the-trenches practical development experience. He uses this experience to help people understand how all aspects of Agile fit together to create outstanding results. James is a recipient of the Agile Alliance's Gordon Pask Award for Contributions to Agile Practice, author of The Art of Agile Development, and co-creator of the Agile Fluency Model.
