Empowering Teams Through Platform Engineering: A Tale of Transformation
In this talk, we’ll explore the transformative power of Platform Engineering in an organization. I’ll share my story of the journey from development siloed by function into a cohesive, empowered engineering culture inspired by the concepts from the book Team Topologies by Manuel Pais and Matthew Skelton.
We’ll start by examining the limitations of a traditional “DevOps” team operating under misaligned incentives. We’ll talk about the formation of a Platform Team and the journey to Platform Engineering. Finally, I’ll share the lessons I learned from this journey.
Join me as we reflect on our path and discover how Platform Engineering can redefine the way teams collaborate and innovate in software development.
