Science Coffee Hour: Slime Molds

This session we will be discussing the science behind slime molds. I'm going to suggest a documentary to watch on this topic. The documentary is Secret Mind of Slime by PBS Nova.
The definition of slime mold is "a variety of small or microscopic organisms in different groups. They have both single-celled and multicellular forms during their life cycle, the individual cells coming together to form fruiting bodies that produce spores" (Wikipedia).
We will be meeting in the small room in the back to the right of the bar (if its available. Banksia will validate parking if you park at the garage on 1034 Main St.

This session we will be discussing the origins of life. The University of Chicago has an explainer series on this topic called "The Origin of Life on Earth, Explained."
The definition of abiogenesis is "the natural process by which life arises from non-living matter, such as simple organic compounds" (Wikipedia).
