Science Coffee Hour: Astrobiology
Banksia Bistro, 1183 Main St. , Suite 120, Kansas City , MO, USCome and join our Science Coffee Hour where we discuss your favorite science and philosophy topics.
This session we will be discussing the science behind astrobiology. This discussion will be a similar format to our other meetings in which I will suggest an episode of the podcast Ologies on Astrobiology. I would also suggest the book Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (author of The Martian) because in the book they discuss a lot about what life on other planets might look like.
The definition of astrobiology is a scientific field within the life and environmental sciences that studies the origins, early evolution, distribution, and future of life in the universe by investigating its deterministic conditions and contingent events (Wikipedia).
We will be meeting in the small room in the back to the right of the bar, if it's available. If it's not available we will be in the back to the left of the restaurant.5 attendees
