Greg will be hosting a meeting on personhood. Come join us for coffee or wine and conversation - no preparation necessary.

What makes you a person? What makes you the same person over time?

Defining what it means to be a person is less obvious than one might think. Explaining how (if?) one can be the same person as an infant, through adulthood, and up to death, despite substantial changes in physical and mental form during that time, is also a thorny issue.

In this session, we'll go over some of the theories of personhood and personal identity over time, then have a lively discussion of our own ideas about these questions.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Person gives a brief overview of personhood and personal identity and has links to additional material on those topics.
