Looking for a new way to get active, meet awesome people, and test your skills on the battlefield?
Come check out Amtgard — a medieval combat sport where you can pick up a sword, shield, bow, or other foam-safe weapon and fight alongside a community of warriors, adventurers, and absolute nerds. 🛡️
Whether you're a seasoned fighter or you've never swung a sword in your life, NEW PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED. We'll help you learn the rules, get equipped, and find your fighting style. (Loaner gear is available)
☀️ Yes, Arizona is HOT! We know it, and we plan accordingly. We take the heat seriously, with hydration breaks, shade, pacing, and other measures to help everyone stay safe and comfortable. No experience is worth overheating, so we encourage everyone to listen to their body and take breaks whenever needed.
