[Focus: Fighting Games] - 1v1 Smash Bros, MvC3, etc

I want to test a more focused game event, on fighting games, to see what kind of interest I get. I have Smash Bros Ultimate and Smash Bros Melee. If anyone has a Switch with Smash Ultimate to get a 2nd SSBU station going (I have two docks already), feel free to bring that.

Also have a few other fighting games on PC, like Marvel vs Capcom 3, some Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive 5/6, etc

Fighting games tend to be more intense/core gamer rather than casual. So the goal will be on the more competitive side, trying to get good, etc. This is not tourney level, but more in the intermediate+ level, or to those who want to improve and really learn the game mechanics. Or if you'd like to just come by and watch, you're welcome to do that as well. Plan to mainly focus on 1 on 1's, winner continuing up to a few rounds or so, to keep the rotation going and everyone getting a chance to play ppl of different levels.

This 3-5pm timeframe will mostly be committed to fighting games. This event ~might continue beyond 5pm for ppl who want to hangout, if we get a high enough level of interest. This event is a good way to meet and greet, hangout, chat, and find others with some gaming interest.

Feel free to bring snacks and card games and board games to share.

No pressure to arrive at start or to stay till the end.

This is a substance-free environment - so no alcohol, drugs, smoking, or vaping, and my home has cameras set up throughout to discourage bad behavior. I don't go through the footage unless something comes up
