Fay Canyon Road 3-Hour Score-O

We're offering another day of navigation in the Flagstaff area. On Saturday, June 27, we'll present a 3-hour Score-O at our Fay Canyon Road event site. In a Score-O, participants visit as many destinations as they can in the 3-hour time limit. There is no prescribed route. Participants may visit as many or as few controls as they wish.

The Fay Canyon area contains rolling hills cut with a number of drainages. The vegetation is open forest. Most of the area is runnable, without thick vegetation to block your progress. Some rock features will slow you down in spots.

Online signup is required. Our permit does not allow us to take money on-site. The donation pays for the map printing fee and insurance for the event. Pre-Registration is open until Thursday, June 25th at 11:59 PM.

Fees:
Due to permitting restrictions, we are not allowed to charge a registration fee for the Fay Canyon event. However, we still have costs associated with presenting the events, including printing costs, insurance, etc. The registration pages in the link above include options to donate. Please consider donating to the club to help cover the costs associated with participation in the events.

Suggested Donation for Score-O:
Adults (20+): $15/person. Members take $5 off.
Children (13-19): $5/person
Children (12 and under): $0

What to bring:

• Whistle (Mandatory for all. Available for $1)
• Compass (Mandatory for all. Available to rent for $1)
• Water. (Water is NOT available at the start/finish . We also DO NOT have water stations on the course. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own water bottles or a camelback.)
• Long pants are recommended (scrub brush and cactus)
• Sun screen (While there is shade on all the courses, we encourage you to protect yourself from sunburn.)
• Sturdy hiking shoes
