Whatever your reasons for wanting to explore psychedelics, if you choose to use psychedelics, it's essential to approach them with mindfulness, respect, and practical caution.
In this meeting, we will focus on the integration phase.
Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic & Consciousness Research was among the first scientific groups to restart research on psychedelics that may have some therapeutic potential. You can watch their four min. Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUS2I8PNOH0 to get an overview.
If you're planning a psychedelic journey, it's essential to keep in mind that there are three critical phases involved.
The first phase is preparation—it's crucial for your experience. This includes researching best practices, understanding how each psychedelic is different from another, and ensuring that you're in the right mindset before embarking on your trip.
The second phase is navigation - this involves creating a safe and supportive environment while under the influence of psychedelics.
The third phase is integration - which occurs after your trip has ended. During this period, you'll need to reflect on what you've learned during your psychedelic experience and how you can apply these insights to your daily life.
Join us as Henry, Co-Founder of Psychedelic Advocacy Network & Patrick Lennon, Ph.D., present and discuss these three phases to ensure your safety and maximize the potential benefits of your experience if you embark.

https://psychedelicadvocacy.org/event/beyond-the-self-exploring-identity-and-silence-in-meditation-3/ After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information and a link to join the meeting. We may experience a deep silence and profound stillness during a psychedelic journey. Our thoughts may stop or become very quiet, and, in the background, our relationship with our physical body may disappear, and our identity and personality may fade quietly away. Some people report a loving, blessed energy. And, yet, while this is happening, "you" or "somebody" is... present.
This hour-long event plays with the knowledge that we can, by degrees, duplicate that profound stillness and silence through meditation, and we can have the pleasure of resting with each other in the healing energy we co-create.
The meditations we will practice are non-dual in nature, designed to help us directly examine the content of our current experiences. Allowing us to notice where we get stuck and where our identity becomes fixated.
There will be no teacher at this event; our direct experience will be our teacher. A facilitator will lead a 20-minute guided meditation followed by a discussion about our experience and the similar experiences we may have with the use of psychedelics.
Approximately 5 minutes after the hour, we will start our meditation, and at that point, the doors will close to the event. So please be on time.

Together with a community of Meetup Groups, we'll explore the evolving conversation around psychedelics and psychedelic integration in our later years.
Many have fond memories of youthful explorations, and it's heartening to see the growing recognition of the psychological and spiritual benefits these medicines offer. As we all seek more holistic and natural paths to wellness, these alternatives present a promising avenue.
For those who've journeyed with these medicines, you understand they're not a one-size-fits-all solution. The journey is profound, and having a supportive community is essential. Continual ceremonies without integrating the lessons into our daily lives might not yield the desired change.
It's a beautiful opportunity to embrace our curiosities, let go of apprehensions, and truly connect with our purpose.
