Ok, now, with our group. In meetup .com, our Phoenix Valley Tennis Group is one of the 10 biggest tennis-only groups in the world .
Our group mission is to help out our members to find other tennis aficionados to play with in a friendly and safe environment.
Our vision, is to have many folks playing at different venues across the Valley, and importantly, to have fun!
This is mainly a social group, where we understand that we all have a busy life, work and school or family to keep attention to, and we think of tennis as one big way to relax and occupy our mind and body in something totally different from our daily routine. With that said, there is a vast variety of experience among our members, so do not worry about your level. You will find people to play with. No problem.
Many of our members are competitive players. Therefore you will notice every now and then notes on the meetups posted by our different Assistant Organizers asking for players to have at least certain skill level to attend a meetup. Not that we don't like beginners, but we try to pair apples with similar apples.
Go ahead and sign up , and don't forget to bring a can of balls to the meetups, even if it might not be needed.
Hey Guys! Come out to play some fun tennis(mostly doubles) and meet some great people. Please bring plenty of fluids and some tennis balls. I would suggest if you're a beginner to let me know so we can plan accordingly. Bring a good attitude and plan to have fun!
Yuvi will be hosting this on Thursdays. So come out and support him and have a great time!
**Please Keep Your RSVP Current** There is a lot of preparation, time and cost that goes into this class. This is a beginner class to learn the basics of tennis. We will focus on forehand, backhand, serve and scoring. This class is free. **Note: WE ARE AT THE NEWLY RENOVATED KIWANIS TENNIS CENTER!!**
Come join us on Saturday mornings for some fun tennis matches. McClintock has 8 courts all in good condition.
This will be an open format. We can either play singles or doubles depending on how many players we have.
Please bring water/gatorade and a can of balls if you can.
Also let's keep this meetup fun and respectful.
NOTE: This is not beginners, we encourage any who would like to learn to take some lessons or join one of the other meetups that is for beginners. Then once you can maintain a decent rally going we would love to have you join us.
Thank you for your understanding.
See you on the court!
