Labor Day Flotilla (Pirate themed)

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy! Join us for a Labor Day Pirate-themed float down the river! (Ages 21+) 🏴‍☠️

Bring a beverage, snack, and a floatation device (tubes, kayaks, paddle boards, etc.) and come socialize & relax on the Schuylkill River. Pirate costumes like hats, bandanas & eyepatches are encouraged!

Location & Parking: We will be starting the float at Lock 60 in Mont Clare (400 Tow Path Rd, Mont Clare, PA 19453) and ending at Fitzwater Station (264 Canal St, Phoenixville). Parking is available at both locations.

About: We will be floating down the river rather than having a stationary float. Please be ready before 11 at Lock 60 with tubes and floats inflated, as we plan to disembark exactly at 11AM. Any stragglers will walk the plank! If you want to leave a car at Fitzwater Station, arrive early so we can coordinate. Floaters should be prepared for a short walk at the end to get back to Fitzwater Station parking lot. Kayakers and paddle boarders can paddle back to the start location via the canal if they wish. We may grab lunch at Fitzwater after the float. We have a few extra tubes - if you need one please reach out.

Rules & Safety: By attending this event you agree to read and follow rules of the Schuylkill River and Lock 60 recreation area. This is a public waterway and you are responsible for your own safety. Water may be deep in some areas. Please be respectful of the environment and other attendees.
