Let's Try this Again, Christmas Lights in the City - Boston Commons

Details
Last weekend we got as far as shooting the Boston Public Garden before we ran out of time. There is so much to photograph in this area, we bit off more than we could chew...
This time, the focus is on the Boston Common. We will use intentional camera movement and long exposures to photograph this delightful area.
The Common is all lit up and the skaters are back at Frog Pond. The gazebo is lit up and the Christmas tree is up and ready to pose for the camera. If we have time, we can venture to Acorn St or the Boston Public Garden.
You can have fun with a variety of lenses - a wide angle will capture all of the scene, but a telephoto can grab interesting details. Or challenge yourself with a nifty 50 or another fixed focal length lens. Add some ICM (intentional camera movement) while the shutter is open. Check out the other images in this post for examples using ICM.
What to bring:
- DSLR or mirrorless camera
- Tripod
- Shutter release/intervalometer
Optional but fun to experiment with
Dress in layers and keep an eye on the forecast. Saturday night will be chilly so bundle up.
This is a weather-dependent event. Meetup will be canceled or rescheduled if possible.
